Everyday, people working in, using or visiting care services, have bright ideas, often about very simple things that could be changed or done differently, but they rarely get the chance to test them out. B.I.G is a £50K fund aimed at helping unlock the potential of those hundreds of small ideas and giving people the helping hand they need to prove their idea works and share it widely.
Through the Bright Ideas Grant scheme (B.I.G) the Department of Health are looking for ideas that help ensure people's experience of care services is a good one and that they feel they are able to retain their personal dignity and self respect. Ideas can be big or small but must be capable of benefiting many in the longer term.
This scheme is open to anyone who has an idea to submit and votes will decide which idea gets a share of the £50,000 total fund value.
