Can you talk to your community about anything? How about death?
Discussing dying or loss still remains a taboo across much of Liverpool, and indeed the UK.
A community engagement project is underway and will continue until June 2012 to work with communities to raise awareness of existing services and support.
Death is a natural part of life and it is healthy to talk about it. Everyone is exposed to the subject of death via TV, newspapers or online. Yet many don’t consider their own death or refuse to discuss it. The fear of broaching this subject will leave a generation of people who haven’t planned for their end of life or prepared loved ones about their final wishes.
We’re conducting research on current thoughts and attitudes and a poster campaign aimed at raising awareness and stimulating conversations. We need you to support us by displaying posters and making the survey accessible to your community members.
You can complete the survey online: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Deathdyingandlosssurvey

Thank you very much for your support with an important project – it’s a subject we should all be encouraged to talk about in a healthy and sensitive way.
