The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) will demonstrate just how skilled its workforce is next month as it prepares to showcases its work to members of the public in Cheshire. On Thursday 22 September, NWAS will celebrate the Trust’s Annual General Meeting and Open Day, which will take place at the Knutsford Civic Centre, Toft Road, Knutsford, Cheshire.
The day will begin with the Trust’s AGM at 1pm, followed by the Open Event, which will begin at 2pm and finish at 4pm. The Open Day event, which is a free event open to members of the public, will include a range of information stands about the various emergency and community based schemes the Trust is leading on across the region as well as interactive displays including a reconstruction of a patient experiencing a heart attack.
Members of the Trust’s Community Resuscitation team and local Community First Responders (CFRs) will talk through with guests what happens in a real life emergency situation from the arrival of a CFR to the arrival of the paramedic crew.
If you have ever wanted to find out more about NWAS or are interested in getting more involved with the work it does by having a greater say, there will also be the opportunity to become a member of the Trust and have the chance to have your voice heard.
Other emergency and NHS partners will be present on the day which is guaranteed to be an action packed, fun and educational event.
