The Trust is entering the final phase of the application process to become a Foundation Trust (FT). Therefore are delighted to inform you that the procedure for forming the Council of Governors has now begun and invite you to participate by voting in the Council of Governor elections and also consider nominating yourself for election as a Governor.
Nine Governors have already been appointed by the following partnership organisations: NHS Knowsley, Liverpool City Council, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool Primary Care Trust, Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Local Solutions, Macmillan, The Mersey Partnership and The University of Liverpool. In addition, the Council of Governors will have twenty-two Governors elected by their members. Five Governors will be elected by staff members and seventeen Governors will be elected by public members.
Elections will be held early in 2011 and you will be receiving notification of the election process in due course.
If you are interested in the role of a Governor and are considering standing for election they are holding information events designed especially to help you gain an understanding of the role and the work that will be undertaken by the Trust’s Council of Governors.
