Carers Week Event 2010, the annual event that takes place in Liverpool to raise awareness of carers and issues that affect them takes place on the 17th June in St George's Hall. The theme for Carers Week this year (14th to 20th June) is ‘A life of my own’ and the aim is to highlight why supporting carers is crucial, how carers miss out on things we all take for granted and what needs to be changed.
There will be lots of organisations from across the city at the event exhibiting information and their representatives will be on hand to tell carers and professionals about the support and services they provide.
In addition there will be opportunities to find out about the health and wellbeing initiatives that are in place in this the Year of Health and Wellbeing.
Year after year this event proves to be extremely popular with positive feedback telling us how informative and enjoyable the day is so please drop in any time between 10.30am and 3.00pm
