The Liverpool Compact is a written agreement between local statutory agencies and the voluntary and community sector. It is wide reaching and covers amongst other things; shared values, acceptable ways of working, and sustainability. It commits signatories to develop trust and improve their mutual understanding to work together. Local compacts are not legal documents: they put the emphasis on people working together to make them work.
